Strawberry Iced Tea

This refreshing strawberry iced tea, made with a homemade strawberry simple syrup and herbal rooibos tea, is the ultimate summertime drink.

Ingredients
  

  • 4 cups filtered water For brewing the tea
  • 4 teaspoons loose rooibos tea Or use rooibos tea bags
  • Strawberry simple syrup To sweeten the tea
  • Ice For serving
  • Fresh strawberry slices for garnish Optional, for decoration
  • Fresh lemon slices for garnish Optional, for decoration

Method
 

  1. Bring the filtered water to a boil.
  2. Add the rooibos tea and let it steep for 5 minutes.
  3. Pour the tea through a fine mesh strainer and let it come to room temperature. Then refrigerate the tea until it’s completely chilled, about 1 hour. finish
  4. To serve, add ice to a glass, filling about ¾ of the way with the chilled tea.
  5. Stir in a few tablespoons of strawberry simple syrup, or more to taste. Adjust sweetness as desired.
  6. Garnish the glass with fresh strawberry and lemon slices, then enjoy!
