Ingredients
  

  • 2 slices sturdy bread use bakery sourdough or any bread of your choice
  • 1 garlic clove peeled, for rubbing on toast
  • 1 medium avocado choose a ripe avocado with a slight give when squeezed
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice freshly squeezed
  • teaspoon salt adjust to taste
  • teaspoon black pepper freshly cracked, adjust to taste
  • 1 pinch crushed red pepper optional for topping

Method
 

  1. Toast the bread in a toaster or in a skillet until golden and crisp.
  2. Rub the peeled garlic clove over the top of the warm toast, ensuring to cover the surface evenly.
  3. Cut the avocado in half, remove the pit, and scoop out the flesh into a bowl. Add the lemon juice, salt, and pepper. Mash the avocado with a fork, leaving it slightly chunky.
  4. Spread the mashed avocado mixture evenly over each slice of toast. Top with a pinch of crushed red pepper and sea salt, if desired.
