Ingredients
  

  • 7 cups seedless watermelon cubed frozen
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar adjustable to taste
  • 5 tablespoons water for the simple syrup
  • 1 large lemon juiced or 2 small lemons

Method
 

  1. Place cubed watermelon in a single layer on a wax paper or parchment lined baking sheet. Freeze until firm, about 4 hours or overnight.
  2. In a small saucepan, combine the sugar and water. Cook over medium heat until the sugar dissolves, then remove from heat. Stir in lemon juice and allow to cool completely.
  3. Add the frozen watermelon cubes and the cooled simple syrup to a high-powered blender. Puree until smooth and creamy.
  4. Portion the slushie into glasses, serve immediately, and enjoy!
