- Preheat your oven to 425ºF and place a rack in the center. Lightly flatten the thickest part of each chicken breast with a meat mallet under plastic wrap to ensure even baking.
- In a small bowl, stir together salt, paprika, black pepper, dried thyme, garlic powder, and onion powder. Rub the mixture evenly over both sides of the chicken breasts.
- Heat oil in a large oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat. Add chicken breasts in a single layer and sear for 1–2 minutes per side until a light golden crust forms.
- Meanwhile, combine butter, parsley, garlic, Italian seasoning, honey, and red pepper flakes in a small bowl. Microwave in 15–20 second increments until melted and blended.
- Pour the garlic butter over the chicken in the skillet. Transfer to the oven and roast for 10–14 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165ºF.
- Remove the skillet from the oven and let the chicken rest for 5 minutes before slicing or serving.
