Ingredients
Method
- In a medium-sized mixing bowl, combine the flour with 1 teaspoon salt, ½ teaspoon onion powder, garlic powder, and black pepper. Add the diced chicken and toss until evenly coated.
- Heat 1 tablespoon butter and olive oil in a large pan over medium-high heat. Once melted, swirl to combine. Add the chicken, spacing the pieces out in the pan. Fry until golden and crispy on one side, then flip and cook the other side until charred and fully cooked. Remove the chicken from the pan and set aside.
- Reduce heat to medium. Melt the remaining 5 tablespoon butter in the same pan. Stir in the honey, apple cider vinegar, soy sauce, and a pinch of salt and pepper. Simmer gently, stirring until the sauce thickens to a caramel-like consistency.
- Add the chicken back into the pan and stir to coat in the sauce. Finish cooking for an additional 2-3 minutes to allow the chicken to absorb the sauce.
- Serve the honey butter chicken immediately, garnished with extra sauce if desired.
