Ingredients

Filling

  • 6 ounces cream cheese softened to room temperature
  • cup unsalted butter softened for easy mixing

  • 4 cups cooked diced chicken rotisserie works well
  • 1 cup sharp cheddar cheese freshly grated for best melting
  • 3 tablespoons heavy cream for added creaminess
  • 2 8-ounce/8-count cans crescent rolls dough at room temperature

Sauce

  • 1 10.75-ounce can cream of chicken soup condensed
  • 1 cup sharp cheddar cheese grated for rich flavor
  • cup heavy cream for smooth consistency
  • ¾ teaspoon seasoned salt or to taste
  • 1 ¼ cups cheddar cheese for topping freshly grated

Directions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly coat a 9×13 baking dish with nonstick spray.
  • Prepare the filling by combining the cream cheese, butter, garlic powder, and seasoned salt in a large mixing bowl. Mix until fully smooth.
  • Stir in the chicken and 1 cup of grated cheddar cheese until evenly combined.
  • Add the heavy cream to the mixture and fold until everything is well incorporated.
  • Unroll the crescent dough and place about 2 tablespoons of filling at the wider end of each triangle. Roll up tightly and pinch edges to seal.
  • Place the filled rolls seam-side down in the prepared baking dish.
  • In a medium saucepan, combine the cream of chicken soup, 1 cup cheddar cheese, heavy cream, and seasoned salt. Heat over medium heat, stirring often, until smooth and warmed through.
  • Pour the sauce evenly over the crescent rolls, then sprinkle the remaining 1 ¼ cups of cheddar cheese on top.
  • Bake for 35 minutes, or until the crescent rolls are golden and the sauce is bubbling.
  • Remove from oven and serve hot for a comforting meal.
