Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup water for brewing the tea
  • 1 teaspoon loose black tea leaves chai patti (or 1 tea bag)
  • 10-12 mint leaves for brewing and garnishing
  • 2 teaspoons sugar or substitute with honey or stevia
  • 1 cup apple juice or apple-flavored soda
  • 2 teaspoons freshly squeezed lime juice
  • Ice cubes as needed to fill glasses

  • 1 Measuring cup or pitcher To strain and store the brewed tea.

Method
 

  1. Bring the water to a simmer in a medium saucepan.
  2. Add the tea leaves, mint leaves, and sugar to the simmering water.
  3. Allow the tea to simmer for about 1 minute, then remove from heat.
  4. Strain the tea into a measuring cup or pitcher and let it cool for 10 minutes.
  5. Fill two tall glasses with ice, adding 4-5 mint leaves to each.
  6. Pour ½ cup apple juice (or apple soda) into each glass, followed by ½ cup of the brewed tea.
  7. Stir 1 teaspoon of lime juice into each glass and garnish with apple slices and lemon wedges.

Notes
